Connecting old and new
We love driving through the vineyards, keeping our eyes open for old ruins with history and spirit. Some places captivate you the moment you see them – their charm, their location, the feeling that something beautiful could happen here.
Every restoration begins with a first vision and sketch together with our architect, Alberto Barbero in Canelli. From that first visit to the last piece of furniture, we work with local craftsmen and materials. The people who know these buildings. Who've worked with Piedmont stone and wood their whole lives.
We keep what matters – the beams, the arches, the soul of the place – and merge it with today's technical and sustainable solutions. Solar panels on the roof. Heat pumps tucked away. Modern comfort that doesn't shout. Old and new, side by side.
What you get is a home that feels both rooted and ready. A place where history lives on, and where you can simply arrive and let go.
Villa Verdini
This vineyard dates back to the mid-19th century. In 2021, it was woken from its slumber. The old house and barn were turned into a home again.
What mattered was saved. The chestnut windows and shutters, worn smooth over the decades. The ceiling paintings in the bedrooms, faded but still beautiful. Old furniture was refurbished and brought back into the rooms. The tiles in each bedroom were recreated one by one – made just for this home.

Restored: 2021–2022
Outside, the stone wells from the old irrigation system were preserved. An old drinking trough remains near the house. In the garden, an old wine press and weathered cart are hidden – traces of the vineyard's working past.
The land was replanted with new fruit trees and herbs. Down below, a pool and second terrace were added, framed by views over the vines.
"When Anne and I first visited the old vineyard, we were blown away. Everything felt perfect, down to the smallest detail. The materials. The way old and new come together. The tiles in the bedrooms and hallways. One of my favorite details: the preserved bird's nest in what is now the dining room, once the old barn."

Cascina Masio
Cascina Masio is an old farmhouse located on a hilltop and surrounded by vineyards, with stunning views of the valley below. It is set to become a peaceful oasis offering three bedrooms and a large open-plan kitchen with direct access to a spacious garden and swimming pool. It will be the perfect place for families and friends to enjoy the summer.

Cascina Masio
The first floor will have three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The communal areas on the ground floor – the living room and kitchen – will extend over two storeys like a loft and be open to the upper floor. The kitchen will have floor-to-ceiling windows that open directly onto the garden and pool.
I can already tell that Cascina Masio is going to become one of my favourite places. This house is simple, down-to-earth and unpretentious. It’s neither too small nor too big. I can already picture myself standing in the kitchen with friends, sipping a glass of Arneis.
Hanna
Monastero
As the name suggests, the Monastero is an old monastery. Until the last century, monks lived here – with their own chapel, wine cellar, and courtyard carved into the hillside. Then one day, they left. Everything exactly as it was. Newspapers still lie on the floor.
We're bringing it back to life.

Monastero
Through arched windows spanning two levels, you'll look out from the inner courtyard all the way to the Alps. The old chapel will become a living area. The wine cellar, a spa. All five apartments will have its own character. Generous space. Room for solitude, for long mornings, for time that doesn't rush.
